Routes are AI-generated suggestions based on real campground data from the Recreation Information Database (RIDB). While we validate routes for geographic consistency, always verify road conditions and campground availability before traveling. Campground information including pricing and ratings is pulled from actual federal campground databases to ensure relevance.

How long can I plan a route for?

You can plan routes from 3 to 30 days. The AI will suggest realistic daily driving distances (typically 100-300 miles per day) and include rest days every few days for exploration and recovery. Longer trips allow for more diverse routing and side detours.

What does the budget setting affect?

Accepted Answer

The budget setting (Budget, Moderate, or Comfort) affects camping preferences and meal costs in the estimates. Budget mode assumes mostly free dispersed camping and cooking at home. Moderate mixes paid campgrounds with some dining out. Comfort mode includes higher-end campgrounds and restaurant meals more frequently.
